I wrote my first few lines of code in middle school competing in Lego League; I was fascinated by how I could get this robot of Legos we made do tasks for points
During a tough period of my life with a sick parent, I taught myself the basics of programming as a distraction and it gave me joy
Since then, I've been hooked!
I went to a coding bootcamp to improve my skills
I graduated and landed a job at RevBoss
I was there for three years, touching every part of the app and using React, JavaScript, Ruby, Rails and AWS every work day. We also used Golang, Stripe, Slack and other tools
I loved my time there. Unfortunately, the company had a few poor performing quarters and I was a part of a lay off
Since then, I've improved my skills in Next.js and other frameworks
I'm always learning and excited for the next chapter of my life
